Ending An All-Nighter in Pattaya

In Marine I was trolling but given we were all pretty plowed I was gravitating towards girls with good dance moves. Went through about 3 of them before I locked horns with a cutie I recognized from the Coyote bar new Club Boesche.
She had great moves, dressed well and loved to makeout. Sounds good to me. We drank a few and then moved on to Insomnia.

It was 5:00 in the morning. or somewhere around there, and I had no idea what to do. Then the girl asked if I had hotel. Actually I do not since the party rooms where in full swing and I knew there was no place to hide. She said no problem and we rode a motorcycle taxi to some out of the norm soi where we got a room for 400 baht. She made sure she could sleep in the room until 3 pm that day. Another great pull, good value and just a fun girl.

We fell asleep and I awoke to my phone ringing. One of the crew was looking for me assuming I had probably fallen asleep in a short time hotel. Indeed I had. Fortunately I did not sleep long enough to induce my impending hangover but was still buzzing....

A Katoey Experience

On entering Cascades I was pleasantly surprised how big the place was. We take a seat and order drinks. What surprised me even more was how long it took my Thai wife to realize these were all ladyboys, most of them really do look stunning. Been thai I thought she would click on straight away but she didn't, these Katoeys have come on leaps and bounds over the years.

Pretty soon we are approached by hopefuls and the voices are the big give away, the penny drops and I produce my best expression of total surprise.
Within minutes we are joined by 3 ladyboys and my missus is loving it, chatting, joking and ordering drinks.....shit.
The main subject was breast implants, a topic me and the wife had been recently discussing (for her benefit of course) and it turns out it can be done for 45,000baht, alot cheaper than I had found on the internet.
Over the next 15 minutes I am feeling silicone breasts, with the encouragement of wifey, to decide on which would be the best size.
Bizarre.

Over the next 2 hours I am informed, via my wife, which ladyboy has the biggest cock in the place, who gets the most business...she is actually numbered #1 and has been known to be bar fined up to 4 times in one night.
How many work there...approximately 100 ladyboys and while all this is going on I've got some dude in a bikini sat next to me asking for short time while my missus is busy chatting.
What the wife didn't twig on to was the fact 'why they were been so friendly' was due to the constant rounds of drinks been ordered.

The Baron Returns

I was in Nana Plaza last night seeing if anything had changed. The answer is, of course, not a lot. You just realise how awful the place looks if you have been absent for a while.
Everybody is moaning about customer levels, which is hardly surprising! What can you expect if you charge 135 Baht a beer in a sh*t hole full of bored girls.

Bangkok’s current gogo dancers that merely shuffle around a pole, and look bored. Mind you, you would too if you had to do the shuffle bit for 6 hours a night.

Soi Eden has a lot going for it. Apart from the variety of nightlife in such a small area, it also benefits from the lack of traffic, meaning you and the ubiquitous elephants can wander around without risking injury or inhaling exhaust fumes.

On the night of my visit, a drunken farang decided it would be a good idea to ride a baby elephant. Happily, he fell off.

Election Time in Bangkok

Bars were open on the 18th and 19th. Apparently intoxicated voters are more acceptable if it’s just a referendum being voted on.
Police were out tonight rounding up Freelancers on Suk Soi 4 and the Nana Hotel Parking Lot.
I guess they needed some extra cash.
Weird seeing no Freelancers on the street. It was like a bad dream. An hour later the Police were gone and the little Angels returned to their posts.

Updates from Dean Barrett

Nana Update:
Nana Plaza was reaaaallly slow when I was there. There was more action among the stray cats on the roofs than in the bars.

Pattaya Update:
A number of clubs had some pretty dancers and Walking Street really does pick up about 11 p.m. It is amazing though how few women are about during the day even into the late afternoon and then whamo! some time after dark like magic they're all over the place.

(Dean's friend is a fast operator, picking up a Hello Girl right away.)

Suzie Wong - Speaking of Tongues

I took a bi gf to see the Suzie Wong show a couple of months ago. Arranged to take out the best looking girl we saw, who we had just seen with her tongue in two other girls. When we got back to my room, she tells us she is 'not really into girls' and that it is all an act. Major disappointment….

With another friend there recently, and I told him the show must be well rehearsed 'cos the girls are constantly moving in sync into new positions without communicating, to which he replied that they must be 'speaking in tongues'….

Pattaya Update

It might be quiet at this time of year but there are some major developments steaming ahead in Pattaya that will play a part in the gradual, but very definite change in the face of Thailand's naughtiest beach resort. The large multi-building complex on the Second Road, opposite the Lek Hotel, is a shopping centre not dis-similar to the Big C complex at the north Pattaya end of Second Road. This new complex which is home to a 24 hour branch of McDonalds and a Major Cineplex, both of which are open already.

Also under construction, the even bigger Central shopping centre on the Beach Road is not going ahead quite so fast, but when finished that it has got to contribute towards giving Pattaya something of a more legitimate feel.

But despite all of these developments being erected at a furious pace, Pattaya remains awfully quiet and as has been reported for a number of weeks now, the bars are really hurting. Waking Street's trade isn't helped by evening drizzle which keeps punters in restaurants, and out of the bars. Entrepreneurial locals are selling umbrellas along Walking Street for 200 baht. The same thing will set you back 99 baht in Bangkok's Pratunam Market.

Tulip Review

The rooms are smallish, with a low single bed, and a shower behind a curtain. I sent for hot tea and cold water, and disrobed - noting with approval the groovy hatstand in the corner. My girlfriend for the next two hours then got just as naked, and took me into the shower for a thorough scrub. Luxury.

A quick dry-off, a sip of tea, and onto the bed where I was instructed to lie on my front, as she began the usual oil massage. Decent enough, but nothing compared to what was coming later....
